Any new venture is a risk, so yes, a home-based business is as well. The risk you're taking is in yourself. ARE YOU WORTH A RISK? What is your plan? What steps are you taking now so that 2006 will not be a repeat of 2005? Or if you don't have a plan, you must be so happy that you want to be doing what you're doing for the rest of your life right? What is the risk of doing nothing? "If you aim at NOTHING, you're surely going to get it! ? (Dani Johnson) It's difficult to imagine why anyone with a true desire to be their own boss would not want to jump into this type of business. I mean JUMP! The number one reason people give for NOT starting a home-based business is that they don't have the money. Of COURSE you don't have the money! I didn't have the money. None of us had the money when we started. If you had plenty of money, you would NOT be looking for a new opportunity, would you? IF YOU DO NOTHING, how much more money will you have in 12 months? Let me ask this. Would you go to a local commercial broker and tell them that you want to start your own business but you don't have the money? What would you expect them to say? They'd ask how you were going to finance it. I'd say how can you expect to start a business then? With a home based business, you are starting your own business. This is not a JOB where you're being hired by someone to do tasks so THEY can earn lots of money. If you want to start your own business, how are you going to finance it? It's up to you to find a way. You've got to figure it out. I KNOW you may not have the means today, so work on it. If you're meant to be a business owner, you'll find it. It's a minor thing longer term. You'll see. Actually, we know that most of the time, it is absolutely NOT about the money. It's about desire. If I said to you, "You just won a brand new Hummer. I need you to get the insurance on it this week, which will cost you $3000., send me the proof, and it'll be sitting in your driveway within 3 weeks. ? Do you think you'd find the money? You bet! If you don't HAVE the money, you've got to borrow the money. It's OK. It's a good risk and it's a business expense. True entrepreneurs often beg, borrow and steal to come up with the way to finance their start-up...to the tune of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars. Then, FOUR OUT OF FIVE FAIL. Now THAT'S taking a risk. Do you know, the average cost of a McDonald's franchise is $150,000? It's also about FEAR. "What if I RISK my money and lose it? ? When evaluating a home-business, ask yourself, "What is the absolute worst thing that can happen if I spend the money to start this business? The worst possible scenario is that you never, ever work your business. So choose a business that has lifetime value to you even if you never did the business. However, if you're truly motivated to start a business, this would not happen. OK, now let's imagine another possibility that your business doesn't exist in 5 years. That would be the worst, right? How many traditional businesses don't exist in 5 years? 4 out of 5, remember? So choose a business that has been in business for over 1O years now and has a great reputation. Now what are the odds? better than the odds that YOU won't exist in 5 years? So, what else horrible can happen to you? I can't think of anything. If you worry about losing money because you are not motivated enough to follow the steps of a system, then perhaps your own business is not the right choice for you. If you think about the money we all spend on incidentals and start adding them up, how many times in a year could you have had the funds to start a home-business? Do you buy lotto tickets? (Do you REALLY believe you have a real chance to win?) How about magazines, beer, cigarettes, candy bars, makeup, car accessories, jewelry, shoes and other fashion accessories? There are hundreds of little things that we all "treat ? ourselves to that don't make a bit of difference in our lifestyle that could pay for a home business and a new life! In my home-business, you're only 4 sales away from becoming profitable. Do that with ANY other business. The start-up costs are very small compared with the income you're going to earn. Here's what WILL happen to you if you start and work the business I chose, when you follow the system: 1. You'll learn new things, including, personal development. You'll learn about how the wholesale travel industry works. You'll start planning some vacations so you can learn about them to talk about them. You may start taking more vacations right away, so you'll learn about some new places. You'll learn how to be positive (if you're not already) when you start associating with other directors on live calls. You'll feel like you know them even though you haven't met them in person, until you go to a seminar. You'll learn to trust people more because you'll realize they're truly great people that care about your success. You'll learn how to approach people on the phone. Some of you are great at this already and some are not. That is why we have massive TRAINING available for you. I am totally committed to helping you succeed. So is the rest of the team. You'll see. You'll learn how to handle frustration. People who said they were interested in the business will sometimes not be. Some won't call you back or respond. Some will miss appointments. Some will make excuses. Some will lie. These are some of the same kinds of behaviors you find when you have a business with employees too...except you don't have to pay these people...or fire them. We have training and support so you can learn how to handle these situations. And won't these skills help you in every part of your life? Some of you will go through some frustration as you go through this learning process to becoming successful. It's sort of a prerequisite. Yes, there are some superstars out there that will make sales in their first couple of days, but not that many. (Don't those people just make you sick?...kidding...just jealous.) So, you LEARN how to handle frustration. 2. You'll get REAL TRAINING. This may be the single missing part of many home-businesses. Lack of training leaves new people not knowing how to proceed. I know that we gain many benefits when we help our new people succeed...and it's not just about the money. 3. You'll begin to make real money. It'll may not be huge in the very beginning, but it will snowball quickly. You need a company where you can be up and running and making your basic goals in less than 6 months and where you can realistically quit your full time job in LESS than a year, or even half that. You need a company where it is REALISTIC to be earning 10K per month by the end of your first year. Can you do that with your JOB? The fact is, you can earn 6 figures with the right home-based business, like mine, even if you never imagined that this would be possible for you and even in your first year or two. YOU CAN. 4. You'll talk to and meet new people all over the world! You'll develop new relationships that are POSITIVE! You'll make some lifelong friends. Is there anything to NOT like about that? 5. You'll have more time and flexibility than you ever thought possible! If you're like me, you want to work your business from the beach. Maybe it's the golf course. My business is portable...All I need is a cell phone and a computer! If a family emergency prevented me from working for a week or a month my system keeps working it for me! If I can check email, I can stay current with it! To me, this is truly amazing. 6. You'll never look back. Now JUST WHAT IS THE RISK? |
